By getting pre-approved for a loan before you shop, you’ll know exactly what you can afford and a price range to tell the dealer you’re looking for.
We’ll supply a pre-approval slip for you to give to the dealer. It looks like a cashier’s check and shows the dollar amount you are pre-approved for. The IECU phone number is on the slip so the Dealer can easily contact us.
Dealers recognize the form – it shows that you intend to finance your auto through our credit union. A smart move, because credit unions generally offer lower rates than banks and dealerships on used and new vehicle loans.
