Anyone in our field of membership is eligible to join and enjoy the full privileges of Credit Union membership.
Membership is open to any member of Illinois Education Association, IEA/NEA; subsidiaries of IEA/NEA; affiliates of IEA/NEA; Any Employee or Retired Employee of any school located in Sangamon County; Lincoln Land Community College; University of Illinois in Springfield; students of Lincoln Land Community College or the University of Illinois at Springfield; Springfield Developmental Activity and Achievement Center; or the Horace Mann Companies.

How to Join
We are committed to bringing the highest quality products, services, and loans to the Illinois education community and their families! We look forward to welcoming you into our Credit Union family and to providing you with “World Class Service.” Since your time is valuable, there are 3 simple methods to become a member!
- Apply for membership online!
- Apply for membership via telephone by calling (217) 528-2642. You may also call us toll-free at 1-800-697-7728.
- Visit us at either Illinois Educators Credit Union location. We would be pleased to meet you to build a bright financial future for you! Since your time is valuable, appointments are recommended but not required.
In compliance with the USA Patriot Act and other federal regulations, we require a copy of your identification, Social Security Number, and a $25.00 deposit to establish your membership. Acceptable forms of identification are: a valid Driver’s License, a valid state issued Identification Card, valid Military Identification Cards, and valid passports. We appreciate your support in complying with federal regulations to provide the highest security on accounts possible.
